Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at The Bell Minor Home. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and supporting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as ambulation, transfer, and positioning
  • Record vital signs, weights, and measurements, and report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse
  • Participate in collecting data for the MDS and plan of care
  • Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care
  • Assist with meal preparation and transportation to the dining room
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output
  • Assist with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection
  • Promptly answer call lights and other resident needs
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state
  • Maintain CPR Certification
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Organized and detailed in work performance
  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make decisions quickly, and interact with residents, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstances. The employee may be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions, including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.

The employee must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies. The employee must meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which may include a medical and physical examination.

The employee may be required to work beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. The employee may be subject to call-back during emergency conditions, such as severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.
