We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outdoor Construction Specialist to join our team at Smoky Mountain Deck Builders LLC.

Job Overview

As an Outdoor Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction of outdoor structures such as decks, patios, and railings. This role requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Review blueprints and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Quantify, shape, cut, and smooth carpentry materials
  • Chisel and assemble kitchen cabinets, drywall, siding, and furniture
  • Fabricate rafters, partitions, stairways, and window and door frames
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair structures
  • Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and team members to execute deck-building projects
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, composite materials, and other materials according to project specifications
  • Install and assemble decks, railings, stairs, and other outdoor structures
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during construction
  • Repair and maintain existing structures as needed
  • Operate power tools and hand tools effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate progress and any issues to supervisors
Qualifications
  • Accurate measuring and math skills required
  • Deep knowledge of carpentry materials, tools, and techniques
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Passion for Carpentry and outdoor construction
  • Basic knowledge of woodworking techniques
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
  • Valid driver's license
