Job Summary

Loudoun Water is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Engineer to join our team in the Water Operations department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and engineering support for our water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to the Operations & Maintenance Division on topics related to drinking water treatment operations, including process control, regulatory compliance, and maintenance.
  • Develop engineering solutions to meet designated criteria for effective and efficient operation of water treatment facilities.
  • Analyze and maintain data in PowerBI and SCADA systems to enhance operations and identify trends.
  • Support the development of new software and systems to improve data management and manipulation.
  • Evaluate regulatory issues affecting facilities and prepare reports and studies as needed.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Construction staff during facility and process start-ups.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and tuning process control systems, including instrumentation and control programs.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations and evaluations of drinking water treatment facilities.
  • Eligibility for or licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia is preferred.
