Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical on-premise and cloud infrastructures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure, which supports our internal user-base and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for existing and new corporate offices across the US.
  • Serve as an escalation point to resolve critical infrastructure and helpdesk issues.
  • Assist with root cause analysis of critical system issues to management.
  • Assist with managing and maintaining technical and network documentation.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to obtain and maintain industry and government compliance standards by implementing and enforcing security controls and policies.
  • Assist with the deployment of High Availability and Failover solutions to reduce or eliminate single points of failure.
  • Implement Microsoft Active Directory best practices for Enterprise environments across multi-forest/domains.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance existing system processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor other team members and peers, as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Two years of systems administration experience.
  • Two years' experience in a professional setting.
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Cisco CCNA or Network+ certification is required.
  • CompTIA Security+ is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switching.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere.
  • Experience with Microsoft Group Policy.
  • Experience with Site-to-Site VPN tunnels.
  • Experience managing and securing Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Experience with managing Azure resources.
  • Experience with managing Brivo access control systems.
  • Experience with managing ExacqVision NVRs.
  • Experience with configuring TCP/IP PoE cameras.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Clearance

Travel

Occasionally, remote employees will be required to travel to the corporate office in Ashburn, VA. The position will require travel in support of our nationwide contracts.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time. Climbing, stooping, kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time. Lifting, pulling, pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.

Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time. Flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed.
