Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated anesthesiologist to join our Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology team at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of anesthesiology.

About the Position

We are seeking a board certified/eligible anesthesiologist with expertise in thoracic transplants, aortic surgery, and mechanical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for teaching and research. As a faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology, you will have the opportunity to participate in innovative research projects, educate medical students and residents, and contribute to the development of our academic program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room and intensive care unit
  • Participate in research projects and scholarly activities
  • Teach and mentor medical students and residents
  • Contribute to the development of our academic program
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification/eligibility in anesthesiology
  • Eligibility to apply for a medical license in the state of Georgia
  • Experience with thoracic transplants, aortic surgery, and mechanical support
