About the Role

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, California.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for competently performing routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. This role requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures to produce high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist or ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 5 years of experience in a similar environment
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine MRI examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
