MRI Technologist

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
- Complete timely quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as warranted
- Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience required
- ARRT registered or unlimited state license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
- Clinical MRI experience preferred
- Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry preferred
The MRI Technologist will work in a patient care area, exposed to blood, body fluid, and tissue. The incumbent may be at risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
