Senior Educational Design Specialist

Job Summary:

The Senior Educational Design Specialist will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of Catapult's team and membership. This role will work closely with leaders and subject-matter experts to understand technical and non-technical program requirements and evaluate curriculum and content to achieve stated objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Lead the production of course materials, including student and instructor guides, and execute effective course design within the Learning Management System and related systems.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review, develop, or source content to meet member training needs.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of course processes and training experiences.
  • Training Delivery: Work across the organization to support internal training needs and planning, and implement and manage a train-the-trainer program for Catapult's member programs.
  • Project Coordination: Serve as project coordinator for new training development and establish a network of contractors and industry partners to assist in educational program goals.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Support ad hoc training needs and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Learning and Performance, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Five or more years of technical training experience and/or instructional design experience.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of modern curriculum development methodologies and adult learning theories, ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional team, creative problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal and operational skills.
