Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and prioritize shop and pickup processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Conduct order reviews to guarantee customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Verify product quality, focusing on produce, to maintain the highest standards.
  • Count and verify parcels to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stage orders and consolidate bags as needed to streamline the pickup process.
  • Set up shopper carts and partner with department leaders to ensure proper handling of prepared items.
  • Deliver orders to customers and last-mile delivery drivers, providing a positive experience.
  • Monitor and manage last-mile delivery and Flybuy orders through designated dashboards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and address any concerns or issues.
  • Meet order wait time and completeness goals, adhering to company standards.
  • Handle cash pickups and change orders, logging transactions as required.
  • Verify customer IDs and adhere to store policies regarding checks and age-restricted items.

Requirements

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions (18 years of age).
  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.

Physical Demands

  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to wear the shopping device, hands-free while shopping orders.
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
  • Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
  • Handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
  • Have sufficient visual acuity to read the handheld unit display screen and check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
