Professional Transport Operator

Penske Racing South is seeking dedicated transport drivers for our prestigious IndyCar and IMSA series. These full-time, year-round roles involve representing our organization with professionalism while on the road and in the workshop. As a transport driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe conveyance of vehicles and related equipment to and from race and testing venues for various events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload equipment and materials.
- Manage inventory for the transport vehicle and its contents.
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the transport vehicle for team members and guests.
- Adhere to all relevant DOT, DMV, State, and Federal safety regulations.
- Meet established schedules and deadlines with safety as a priority.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor while transporting and at event locations.
- Ensure the transport vehicle is in safe operating condition at all times.
- Complete all necessary logs and documentation promptly; may involve expense reporting in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required.
- Ability to provide or obtain a current Medical Examiner's Safety Certificate.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a background check.
- Exhibit a professional work ethic and presentable appearance.
- Experience in professional motorsports is preferred; however, other driving backgrounds, such as car hauler experience, will be considered.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs independently.
- Able to navigate tight spaces within the transport vehicle and other areas.
- Must be able to stand for 10 or more consecutive hours.
- Willingness to work the complete race and testing schedule, including weekends.
- Availability to work in the shop when not engaged in driving duties; no fly-in work is available.
