Job Title: Sr. Power Electronics Engineer

SpaceX is a pioneering company that aims to make humanity a multi-planetary species. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Power Electronics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced power electronics systems for our Starlink satellite constellation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance power electronics systems for Starlink satellites and ground systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics systems with other spacecraft systems.
  • Develop and implement testing and verification procedures for power electronics systems.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop custom power electronics components and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics design principles, including DC-DC power conversion, magnetics, and control systems.
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with spacecraft electrical power systems and radiation effects.
  • Knowledge of solar arrays and lithium-ion battery handling.
  • Experience with power supply testing and packaging for harsh environments.
