Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly proficient Senior Writer (Public Affairs) to enhance our communications efforts. This role is pivotal in developing a diverse range of content, including speeches, strategic talking points, opinion pieces, and various journalistic articles. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to simplify intricate governmental information into clear and persuasive messages for the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional writing experience, particularly in high-level government or public sector communications.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities, supported by a strong portfolio of relevant work.
  • Ability to convert complex technical and policy information into engaging content suitable for a general audience.
  • Solid understanding of public diplomacy and media relations.
  • Excellent research abilities, with a knack for synthesizing information from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems.
  • Portfolio and writing samples are preferred.
