Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician, Level II to join our team at Tolunay-Wong Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests, and preparing and transporting samples and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Transport samples to the laboratory for processing and testing, maintaining accurate identification and chain of custody.
  • Support field and laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Assist other technicians and professional staff as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure project success.
  • Retain and apply knowledge and skills to continue growing with our company, contributing to the development of our team and projects.
  • Adhere to our quality policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in all aspects of work.
Requirements
  • 6 months minimum experience in construction materials testing or a related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to our safety policies and procedures.
