Job Description

Job Summary:

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. is seeking a skilled Materials Testing Technician, Level I to join our team. As a Technician, Level I, you will assist in the performance of routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests. You will prepare and transport samples and reports, and perform non-technical functions and office tasks under close supervision of higher level technicians or supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as directed.
  • Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients, or other offices, and provide physical assistance in equipment set-up.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
  • Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary.
  • Ability to lift 10 – 60 lbs. and work outside for extended periods of time.
  • Capacity to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to work weekends as needed.
