Job Summary

The Methodist Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Pediatric Cardiac ICU/CVICU team. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Texas State license or Compact State license required.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • 2 years Pedi Cardiac ICU/CVICU acute care hospital nursing experience or Critical Care (ICU) experience.
