We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Parkridge East Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cardiopulmonary care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Perform diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.
- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
- Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment, such as masks, tents, and incubators.
- Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
- Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- BLS healthcare provider within 30 days.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP).
Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility that provides a full range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department and offer obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. Our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed by neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and respiratory therapists at all times.
