Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Home Accessibility Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining adaptive equipment, such as stair lifts, patient lifts, and power wheelchairs, to ensure individuals with limited mobility can enjoy maximum independence in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Perform mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment, including stair lifts, patient lifts, scooter transports, ceiling lifts, power wheelchairs/scooters, and other mobility and accessibility equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality of installations and repairs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and adaptations.
- Service Orders: Follow written service orders accurately to complete tasks.
- Quality Standards: Uphold a high level of quality in adherence to company standards.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- License: Valid Driver's License required.
- Background Check: Background search clearance.
- Experience: Experience in installing and servicing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts.
- Electrical and Wiring Skills: Strong electrical and wiring skills, including experience with low-voltage electrical systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Construction Experience: General construction experience is essential, and background in garage doors, HVAC, or construction is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, including Salesforce and manufacturer applications.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Indoor and Outdoor Work: Capable of working both indoors and outdoors as needed for the job.
- Work-Life Balance: Operating hours from 8-5, Monday to Friday, no late nights or weekends.
