Freelance Court Reporter/Stenographer Specialist

Job Overview
Esquire Deposition Solutions is seeking experienced Certified Court Reporters to join our team. As a Freelance Court Reporter/Stenographer, you will be responsible for recording verbatim proceedings of courts, legislative assemblies, committee meetings, and other proceedings, using stenograph machines.Key Responsibilities
- Record proceedings using stenograph machines
- Prepare accurate final transcript per client's request
- Proofread transcripts for correct spelling of words
- Ask speakers to clarify inaudible statements
- Provide transcripts of proceedings upon request of judges, lawyers, or the public
- Transcribe recorded proceedings in accordance with established formats
Requirements
- Certified Shorthand Reporters (CSR) license, where applicable
- NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification, if your state does not offer a license
