Nurse Coordinator for Maternity Unit

The Nurse Coordinator for Maternity Unit plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to families at UT Southwestern Medical Center. About the Role
This position works under general supervision of physician, mid-level provider and/or nursing supervisor to provide nursing services in care and treatment of patients. The Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for performing and accurately documenting physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments. They will actively anticipate patients' and/or patients' family needs and expectations and utilize these in conjunction with the assessment to develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A graduate degree from an approved/accredited nursing program.
- At least one year of RN experience, with specialty areas requiring increased experience requirements as dictated by unit or standard of care.
- (NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE current Texas (or BNE Compact State) license, and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

Compensation and Benefits
This role is compensation-based, with a salary range estimated to be around $73,000 - $83,000 per annum, depending on experience. A signing bonus of $5,000 is also available for qualified candidates.
