The Manufacturing Control Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing the preparation of documentation and materials necessary for the production team to execute customer orders efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of Production Documentation:
- Generate comprehensive production documentation, including routing sheets, pick lists, barcode labels, work orders, and drawings, ensuring high standards of quality and precision.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Dant Clayton's products and operational procedures.
- Address and resolve any issues arising from the production floor related to work orders, drawings, or travelers, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution in collaboration with relevant departments.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain safety stock and create work orders to support lean manufacturing principles.
- Assess material requirements and current inventory status for components.
Scheduling Processes:
- Have a solid grasp of system processes, bills of materials, and routing procedures.
- Review drawings for accuracy to ensure that processes and materials are organized for timely completion of work.
Machine Programming:
- Input necessary formulas and data into worksheets for machine operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in machine software.
- Utilize Syteline System Software effectively.
EJE Process Management:
- Operate nesting software to minimize scrap yield per job based on detailing forms.
- Confirm the accuracy of EJE software results for each job.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Engage with various departments, including engineering, to rectify errors in drawings or software outputs.
- Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, hardware, and scheduling teams to address errors and provide necessary information.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in a relevant manufacturing or design role.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Extensive knowledge of Dant Clayton materials, machine processes, and manufacturing floor operations.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management practices.
- Ability to understand measurements, dimensions, decimals, and fractions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling and working hours as required.
- A sense of urgency in completing tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in a metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
