Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will provide support to participants in cluster homes, promoting their personal growth and community membership in accordance with their individual support plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to participants in cluster homes, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans, ensuring participants' choices, interests, and needs are supported and implemented.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Coordinator and other team members to ensure a safe and clean home environment for all participants.
  • Participate in regular supervision, staff meetings, case reviews, and training seminars to ensure high-quality care for participants.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and community professionals.
  • Ability to read and understand individual support plans, records, and policies.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working Thursday and Friday evenings, and Saturday afternoons. The Residential Counselor will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent walking, standing, and driving. The ability to lift and/or carry lightweight and moderately heavy objects is also required.
