About the Role

Mason Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and health needs to residents, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Conduct professional assessments and documentation of resident health, assisting with management of nursing units and staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintaining up-to-date nursing care plans and documenting progress.
  • Make daily and periodic resident visits to monitor and observe physical/mental condition.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures, working closely with physicians and families to maintain health/mental state.
  • Provide emotional support to residents and their families, handling complaints, allegations, accidents, or incidents that may occur.
  • Document medical records, complete 24-hour reports, end-of-shift reports, shift narcotic counts, and document destruction of outdated/discontinued medications.
  • Maintain up-to-date resident medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Passion for caring for people.
  • Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel.
  • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
  • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word, and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines.
