Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create and execute treatment plans for clients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Employ diverse therapeutic techniques to enhance clients' communication and swallowing capabilities.
  • Track clients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate and support clients, families, and caregivers on effective communication and swallowing strategies.
  • Maintain precise and current documentation regarding clients' progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care for clients.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay informed on the latest therapeutic techniques and research.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Preferred:

  • Experience with clients who have communication and swallowing disorders is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with client positioning.
  • Capacity to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform therapeutic techniques.
