The Department of Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Attorney IV to join our team. As a key member of our legal division, you will be responsible for providing full-service support, advice, and representation to the department.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a senior attorney to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be part of a team that provides legal advice and representation to the department on a wide range of matters, including tort, eminent domain, environmental law, employment, construction contract disputes, and appellate practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to the department on a wide range of matters
- Conduct research and analysis to support legal opinions and recommendations
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to achieve team goals and objectives
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
- CA BAR membership License
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required
