Job Overview:

L3 Technologies is seeking a dedicated Linux System Administrator to join a dynamic and skilled team. The selected candidate will collaborate with various departments in a technical environment to oversee and sustain information systems.

Our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions cater to a diverse range of government, civil, and commercial clients by enhancing information superiority, bolstering national security, and delivering actionable insights for the safeguarding of assets and human life. We excel in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that provide active and motion imaging, as well as data processing, exploitation, and dissemination. Additionally, we offer solutions that map and monitor the earth for numerous commercial and governmental users.

An ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to mission success, effective communication abilities, and a keen eagerness to learn. Furthermore, experience in supporting help desks for Linux and UNIX-based systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, operate, and maintain Linux-based applications.
  • Supervise Kubernetes nodes and pods.
  • Track data flow within mission systems.
  • Execute mission software update deployments into Kubernetes clusters.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolve anomalies.
  • Perform database monitoring and administration tasks.
  • Provide on-call support, including non-standard working hours.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
  • At least 6 years of experience with Linux-based operating systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively when faced with challenges.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL, and team collaboration tools.
  • Understanding and application of networking fundamentals.
  • DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus.
Compensation:
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3 Technologies also provides a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
