- Develop and maintain expert functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.
- Lead architecture development efforts and assess requirements to present architectural recommendations aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods, and tools, and act as a coach to advise and assist business and technical staff.
- Support an IT operations environment, including nights and weekends, and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, with 7+ years of related professional experience.
- Experience in designing and implementing applications in a RedHat OpenShift environment.
- Expertise in Red Hat Open Shift, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8, VMware, Windows, Splunk, SolarWinds, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Full life cycle experience, responsible for developing architectural views for large systems, and knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools.
- Awareness of IT Security directives and guidance.
- Up to 10% travel may be required per year.
- Broad knowledge of major cloud technologies, including virtualization, containers, networking, and additional knowledge or experience in IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management, and/or resiliency.
- RedHat certification in OpenShift Administration or OpenShift Application Development.
- Strong team player with solid interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing design documents, user's guides, and training.
- Experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management.
- ITIL v3 certification and experience.
- Experience and familiarity with network protocols, Ansible Automation Platform, Hashicorp Vault, Gitlab, Sonatype Nexus, Redhat coreOS, Redhat Quay, Java/J2EE Development, WebSphere, Web Services, SOA, and Data Architecture.
- Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance.
- Ability to remain stationary up to 75% of the time in an office environment.
- Ability to traverse between work locations to accomplish work duties.
- Ability to operate IT equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to exchange information accurately.
- Ability to read, review, and effectively respond to electronic and verbal communications.
- This position supports an IT operations environment, and candidates may need to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Currently, the contract work location requirement is to work in the office at the customer's site once weekly at a minimum, subject to change.
ManTech offers a competitive salary range of $111,400-$185,700, depending on qualifications and experience.
