Kids Academy Instructor

Job Summary

The Kids Academy Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality educational and fitness programs for children aged three months to 11 years. This role involves organizing, instructing, and implementing safe, fun, and engaging activities and games in the Kids Academy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
• Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children
• Prepare and set up for classes, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children
• Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to cleaning checklists and performing assigned tasks
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members, utilizing positive behavior management techniques
• Promote all Junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics programming
• Handle incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner

Requirements

• Less than a High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire

Preferred Requirements

• 6+ months of teaching children aged 3 – 11 in similar programs or activities
• Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
• Strong customer service and communication skills
