Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Director Level III RN to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, and driving excellence in patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to standards of care.
  • Manage variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Stay abreast of internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, actively pursuing efforts to achieve and maintain excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practices as needed.
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations, developing policies, procedures, and nursing standards to ensure patient and family needs are assessed, met, and evaluated.
  • Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience, instilling accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions.
  • Leverage various feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction, developing and implementing strategies to elevate the patient experience.
  • Foster a culture that inspires commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values, ensuring employees are recognized, valued, and supported.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to enhance existing services or develop new service offerings, participating in the annual budget process and monitoring department budget performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or other approved education plan required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • BLS.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare required.
  • 1+ year of experience in a leadership role required.
About St. David's North Austin Medical Center
