Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team at Innovative Dermatology and Mohs Surgery. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatologists in their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and sanitized environment.
  • Review medical history, vital statistics, and test results, accurately recording them in electronic patient files.
  • Dispense supplies and samples to patients, providing clear instructions and education.
  • Assist physicians in examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Notify patients promptly by phone with test results, instructions, and refill prescriptions as directed.
  • Maintain inventory of samples, supplies, and equipment, emphasizing systematic efficiency and quality control.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Properly dispose of contaminated supplies, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform other administrative and clinical duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and teamwork.
Requirements and Qualifications

  • possess knowledge of medical office functions and terminology, with a preference for dermatology experience.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on proper grammar and spelling.
  • Be proficient in computer, basic office programs, and medical software, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • possess remarkable customer service and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Education and Experience
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years' experience required; consideration may be granted for combined education and experience.
  • Dermatology experience preferred, but not required.
Certifications and Licenses
  • CPR and first aid certification favorable.
  • Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred.
