Key Responsibilities- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Utilize welding skills to repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Work with hydraulic systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Carry out electrical repairs and installations in compliance with safety regulations.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Document and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work done, including time and materials used.
- Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize maintenance and repair work.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations within the facility, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting changes that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance processes.
- Technical or Trade School Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of conditions.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Proactive, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring minimal downtime in our operations.
