Fleet Farm Maintenance Technician

Essential Job Functions:
Maintain and work with equipment such as ventilation controls, gas fired heaters, feed augers, fans, and light and manure handling equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues with automatic electric control panels to ensure efficient and productive operation of farm barns.
Conduct maintenance and ensure the proper operation of multiple automatic feeding auger supply systems to guarantee consistent and reliable performance in farm barns.
Carry out maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of water supply systems in farm barns to guarantee continuous and efficient water distribution for livestock and farm operations.
Perform maintenance tasks on live haul trailers, including sanitizing systems and general upkeep, to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the equipment for transporting livestock.
Safely operate machinery and work with live production areas to ensure equipment remains in service.
Fabricate and work from layouts, ensuring precise construction and repair.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform skilled automotive, heavy-duty, or specialized equipment repairs and maintenance, including but not limited to steering adjustment and testing, electrical system diagnostics and repairs, cooling and lubricating system maintenance, braking system adjustments, drive train and differential repairs, suspension system servicing, power steering unit maintenance, clutch and transmission repairs, oil, temperature and gas regulation component adjustments, engine rebuilding and testing, as well as diagnostics and repair functions for electronic systems, air systems, and hydraulic systems.
Perform all fleet and farm vehicle maintenance and repairs and ensuring they are ready for inspection.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
Report any animal welfare concerns to management immediately and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Follow all Biosecurity Practices.
Report any damages to company property.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of heavy Truck Fleet mechanic repair experience, required.
Experience with diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills required.
Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment, required.
Experience with plumbing, mechanical, and electrical, required.
Welding experience, required.
Valid Driver's License, required.
Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering specialties, preferred.
Knowledge of animal welfare and GMP practices is preferred.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Basic personal computer skills: knowledge of Maintenance CMMS systems and Outlook.
Strong teamwork skills with willingness to assist others.
Ability to use tools to fix or fabricate parts.
Ability to satisfy all assigned work schedules, including weekends, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
