Job Title: Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is a leading provider of comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care, serving over 250,000 patients annually. Our state-of-the-art facilities feature 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 operating suites, and a research and innovation center with a 10-station bio skills lab and 3D printer.

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise in ambulatory care nursing practice to promote wellness, restore health, and address health-related situational problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized plans of care, applying current ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice.
  • Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and document patient care, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with healthcare team members.
  • Prioritize patient care in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care, practicing effective problem identification and resolution.
  • Communicate patient condition or unit concerns to other healthcare team members, maintaining a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
  • Participate in Process Improvement activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of quality healthcare practice and organizational outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
