We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Participate in the total patient care process, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the pre-op, intra, and recovery room/PACU area according to patient, physician orders, and procedure requirements.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients, maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Administer medication(s) per physician order, accurately comprehending and interpreting physician orders and direction.
- Monitor patient condition and maintain accurate documentation during pre-op, intra, and post-anesthesia periods.
- Develop a plan of care based on patient needs, related to the procedure and type of anesthesia.
- Assess the physical and emotional status of the patient in preparation for discharge, reviewing post-procedure instructions and medication reconciliation.
- Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide effective and efficient case management.
- Transport patients as needed, observing policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Proficient computer/EMR skills.
- Proficient IV skills.
