Job Title: Registered Nurse I

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse I is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Patient Care: Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and Document Patient Progress: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and treatment outcomes, documenting all relevant information in the patient's medical record.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of each patient.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Maine
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs)

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment: Northern Light Home Care and Hospice, Waterville
  • Shift Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Physical Demands: Lifting, moving, and loading 30-50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting
