Job Summary: As a Patient Logistics Specialist at North Texas Division Office, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to the behavioral health community. Your primary responsibility will be to request information regarding admission and transfer, ensuring timely responses to phone calls and demonstrating excellent communication skills. You will also gather information for clinicians to initiate assessments, locate available resources, and coordinate information to support patient disposition. Additionally, you will track and report on key indicators related to calls, assessments, and admissions, and develop reports outlining activities, including volume, response time, and outcome.

Responsibilities:
  • Timely response to phone calls, demonstrating good customer service skills
  • Gather information for clinicians to initiate assessments
  • Help locate available resources and coordinate information to support patient disposition
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties and physicians through the patient response inquiry, admission, treatment, and discharge process
  • Track and report on key indicators related to calls, assessments, and admissions
  • Develop reports outlining activities, including volume, response time, and outcome


Requirements:
  • Meet basic reading, writing, and comprehension requirements, generally obtained through the completion of high school or GED
  • Higher education at some level in a behavioral health or emergency medical field is highly preferred
  • Prefer 1-3 years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments or in a clinical treatment setting for non-nurses
  • 3-5 years' experience in an inpatient setting handling crisis assessments
  • 12 Hour Shifts - Required
  • Flexibility in scheduling - Required
  • Rotating Weekends - Required
  • Holiday Shifts - Required
  • Must live within 60 miles of a Patient Logistics Center Facility
