Job Summary

The Neonatal ICU NICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a pivotal role at Medical City Dallas, where you will play a key part in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the practice of nursing. As a seasoned registered nurse with experience in Level IV NICU settings, you will leverage your expertise to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during designated shifts.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to guarantee efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
  • Texas RN license or compact license accepted.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NTD Cardiac Stable Module certification within 18 months of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • STABLE certification within 18 months of employment start date.
  • At least two years of Level IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.

Compensation and Benefits
