We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Amergis. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of critical care settings.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes.
- Collect, document, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members to inform patient care decisions.
- Communicate nursing interventions, expected outcomes, and time frames for completion to other healthcare team members.
- Function as a resource to the healthcare team in planning for patient discharge.
- Document patient plans of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
- Compare expected and actual outcomes of care and identify deviations from the plan of care.
- Adhere to facility/client policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
- One year of critical care experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year acute or critical care experience preferred.
- Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement).
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
