Role Responsibilities

The Turret Driver is accountable for the operation of the turret, ensuring the accurate transportation of products and supplies in accordance with specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating the forklift in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Performing all tasks safely, adhering to established safety protocols, and promptly addressing any unsafe conditions.
  • Conducting pre-shift OSHA inspections and completing necessary documentation.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Following food service policies and procedures diligently.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Operating the turret efficiently while adhering to all forklift procedures.
  • Reporting mechanical issues with the turret for timely repairs.
  • Handling finished products in production areas and ensuring proper storage.
  • Accurately documenting inventory of finished goods.
  • Transporting cartons and pallets as needed.
  • Facilitating special delivery shipments to the shipping department.
  • Maintaining records of raw material and finished product movements.
  • Managing propane tank refills for the tow motor.
  • Minimizing waste of finished products.
  • Understanding and applying fire prevention policies.
  • Meeting shipping targets set by management.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • One to three years of forklift driving experience.
  • The ability to pass forklift training.
  • A valid state driver's license and capability to operate motorized vehicles.
Physical Requirements

Physical demands include:

  • Lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Pushing, reaching above shoulders, and standing for extended periods.
  • Kneeling, bending, and operating forklifts in narrow aisles.
  • Visual acuity and depth perception.
  • Hearing ability.
