Radiology Manager Job Summary

As a Radiology Manager at Kaiser Permanente, you will oversee the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of radiologic theory and practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of radiologic technologists, diagnostic medical sonographers, and clerical personnel.
  • Provide accurate diagnostic data for interpretation by radiologists and use by medical providers in providing patient care.
  • Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring efficient and coordinated staffing flow among clinics or specialty areas.
  • Ensure the purchase of radiology equipment is cost-effective and meets quality standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Foster effective partnerships with physicians and labor partners.
  • Interview, select, orient, evaluate, and discipline reporting supervisors or radiology staff.
  • Compile statistical data and prepare reports related to operating costs and services rendered.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in radiologic technologist and lead or supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor degree in health care administration, business management, or related field required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in radiologic technologist and lead or supervisory experience in an outpatient clinic.
