Nursing Department Director

The Director of Nursing at Pearl of Hillside is responsible for leading a team of long-term care professionals in a facility with a positive community reputation and a history of successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the nursing department, ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded.
- Quality Assurance: Drive ongoing quality assurance processes, oversee performance improvement plans, and monitor clinical trends and outcomes.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate care delivery trends, issues, and opportunities to administration, medical director, and the Quality Assurance Committee.
- Staff Development: Oversee the development of the nursing department structure and roles of each position, establish and manage goals and objectives, and facilitate collegial relationships among nurse managers and other healthcare professionals.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Hire, educate, and counsel a nursing leadership team to participate in clinical oversight.
- Education and Licensure: Currently licensed as RN in this state; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Five years in long-term or acute healthcare preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
- Skills and Qualifications: Must have, as a minimum of 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
