Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical assessments and gather medical histories to evaluate donor eligibility
  • Establish rapport with donors to ensure a positive experience
  • Maintain confidentiality for both donors and staff
  • Educate donors about potential risks
  • Provide information regarding general health and discuss any unacceptable test results
  • Assess and manage donor injuries and adverse reactions
  • Review medical histories and medications to confirm ongoing donor eligibility
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Administer the employee Hepatitis vaccination program

Qualifications

Must be educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. A current CPR certification is also required.
