Job Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments and gather medical histories to evaluate donor eligibility
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain confidentiality for both donors and staff
- Educate donors about potential risks
- Provide information regarding general health and discuss any unacceptable test results
- Assess and manage donor injuries and adverse reactions
- Review medical histories and medications to confirm ongoing donor eligibility
- Assist in training new employees
- Administer the employee Hepatitis vaccination program
Qualifications
Must be educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. A current CPR certification is also required.
