Emergency Veterinarian - Part Time

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a part-time ER Veterinarian to join our team at After Hour Animal Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

About Our Practice

We offer emergency care services for dogs and cats in the Central Arkansas area. Our full-service veterinary emergency facility is stocked, staffed, and equipped to handle unexpected illnesses or injuries. Our in-house lab provides fast blood results, and we have state-of-the-art imaging capabilities, including digital radiology, ultrasound, and endoscopy.

About Our Team

We are a compassionate and collaborative team that values relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff. We foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital. Our ER Veterinarian will triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients, continue care of specialty patients, and maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
  • Motivated to foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
  • Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
  • Communicate with referral partners (verbally and with referral letters).
  • Attend morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on the currently hospitalized patients.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Support the hospital's Fear-Free culture and commitment.
