  • Collaborates with external engineers; requests assistance as needed.
  • Evaluates the impact of process modifications on overall production and product quality; implements improvements to lower costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Supports project planning and management; oversees minor capital upgrades as requested.
  • Provides input during incident investigations; advises on corrective measures.
  • Researches advancements in manufacturing technology; recommends updates as appropriate.
  • Evaluates safety and environmental concerns; ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols relevant to the position; participates in safety training; demonstrates commitment to EHSS principles and values; advocates for safety.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management that generally align with the expected responsibilities of this role.

Experience Requirement:

  • Extensive experience in capital expenditure projects.
  • A minimum of 10 years in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in monomer or ethylene plant operations is advantageous.
  • Proficient in researching best practices in chemical manufacturing; knowledgeable about safety, health, and environmental standards for engineering and construction.
  • Highly organized and proactive; detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; adaptable; capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and speaking; able to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer certification is a plus.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Work Environment:


This role requires the employee to work in an office setting, outdoors, and be exposed to various chemicals and compounds, including potentially hazardous fumes and odors. The employee may need to enter confined spaces and work at heights, experiencing a range of temperatures from -10 degrees F to over 100 degrees F when outdoors.

Physical Demands:


While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, including long distances, sit, stand, speak, and hear. The employee must be able to stand for extended periods, use hands for handling or feeling; reach with hands and arms; and may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may be required to climb ladders or towers up to 200 feet in height and enter confined spaces.
