Job Summary

Superior Ambulance Service, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EMS Lead Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our Education Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and instructing EMT classes, as well as scheduling guest speakers and instructors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach all aspects of an EMT course, including didactic and EMT skill set components.
  • Participate in the compilation and record-keeping of all required forms, waivers, physicals, and other documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by local EMS agencies, state EMS authorities, and the National Association of EMTs.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drill opportunities with students.
  • Maintain office hours and participate in department agendas.
  • Implement departmental and program reviews.
  • Complete additional faculty responsibilities, including AHA/NAEMT course offerings and orientation trainings.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • State-licensed Paramedic.
  • Ability to demonstrate and lead all aspects of the EMT/Paramedic job.
  • IL EMS Lead Instructor License.
  • CPR Instructor certification.
  • Superior Employee Preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS/PALS certification.
  • BTLS/PHTLS certification.
  • HAZMAT Awareness certification.
  • PEPP certification.
  • GEMS certification.
