Job Overview

At RoadSafe Traffic Systems, we are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Traffic Control Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our workers and the motoring public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and remove temporary traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and safety barriers.
  • Hold up signs to direct traffic and maintain a safe work zone.
  • Support project teams as a Flagger as needed to create a safe work area.
  • Lead job site teams and instruct/train crew members on safety and job assignments.
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Operate a 2-way radio and communicate with contractors and project managers.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Hold a current Flagger certification or the ability to pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification (ATSSA).
  • 2000 hours and/or one year of Traffic Control experience strongly preferred.
  • Hold a current ATSSA TCT Certification or have the ability to obtain one.
  • TMA Certified or the ability to pass a TMA certification course.
  • Ability to lead a small crew is preferred.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Comfortable being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment, and machinery parts, and working around moving traffic, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate/loud noise levels.
  • Ability to lift/move more than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
