Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of high-power RF and laser characteristics and their impact on material performance in system applications.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and development activities across various functional subsystems, including prime power sources, pulsed power systems, radio frequency sources, and high-power antennas, optical systems, and sensors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians to ensure project success.
  • Hardware Integration: Support the integration of associated components onto platforms, including assembly and installation of hardware at various test sites.
  • Materials Investigation: Investigate target material interaction with RF and laser propagation to optimize performance.
  • Interface and Communication: Interface with technical personnel and customers to clarify tasking, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document final solutions.
  • Leadership and Innovation: Lead programs and tasks, develop innovative technical concepts, and contribute to the development of new methodologies and analytical tools.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in an engineering discipline or related STEM field, with 10+ years of experience in DEW development, analysis, or hardware systems.
  • Clearance and Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with SAP eligibility, and current certifications for CNWDI and NATO.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex analyses to laymen and senior-level government representatives, and proficiency in utilizing S&T and academic databases.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
