Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a skilled Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our team.
This role involves performing Pulmonary Function testing, including Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing daily quality assurance on the equipment to ensure the quality and validity of the tests performed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing, including FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, and MVV as required.
• Checks and validates physician orders for testing procedures.
• Maintains testing equipment and generates appropriate paperwork for the interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests.
• Performs Methacholine Challenges and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
Requirements:
To qualify, you must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by the New York State Board for Respiratory Therapy. Additionally, you should be a New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Therapist Technician, with certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT) and a CPFT specialty credential within a year of hire. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in Pulmonary Function Testing is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

The salary range for the role is $47.22 Hourly.
Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
