We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our Faculty Group Practice team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Pulmonary Function testing, including Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity. You will also be responsible for performing daily quality assurance on the equipment to ensure the quality and validity of the tests performed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Pulmonary Function testing, including Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity.
- Perform Methacholine Challenges as required.
- Responsible for performing daily quality assurance on the equipment to ensure the quality and validity of the tests performed.
- Maintain testing equipment and generate appropriate paperwork to permit the interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests.
- Perform Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by the New York State Board for Respiratory Therapy.
- New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Respiratory Therapist Technician license.
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT), with CPFT specialty credential within a year of hire.
- Computer competency, including basic understanding of, and ability to work with, Microsoft Windows based pulmonary function software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in Pulmonary Function Testing.
