Catalyst Development Engineer

The Catalyst Development Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the design and procurement of aftertreatment systems for internal combustion engines, PHEVs, and REPBs. This includes the development of three-way catalysts and gasoline particulate filters for current and future vehicle programs. The engineer must possess a deep understanding of ATS function and durability for the abatement of emissions from gasoline engines. Key responsibilities include the high visibility PGM Thrift/VO actions and preparation of limit catalysts for the On-Board Diagnostics team. This position reports directly to the Catalyst Integration Supervisor under the direction of the North America Aftertreatment Manager. Additional advanced aftertreatment projects may be in-scope depending on the applicant's skillset and background. Required Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in ATS design for gasoline engines, thorough understanding of chemistry/chemical engineering, experienced project management and program tracking, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team. Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Physics, Automotive, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical/Computer Engineering or other scientific/technical discipline from an ABET accredited university.
