Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Clinical Dietitian to become a vital part of our Nutrition Team within a healthcare facility. This role is essential in delivering nutritional care in a fast-paced environment.

Facility Overview

This position is located in a 400-bed acute care medical center specializing in Renal, Pulmonary, and Cardiology services, and includes responsibilities for outpatient transplant nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive medical nutrition therapy, including assessments, dietary modifications, and educational interventions tailored to patient needs.
  • Adhere to the guidelines set forth in the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accreditation requirements, while maintaining patient confidentiality and rights.
  • Provide training and mentorship to patient services staff and interns as needed.
  • Engage in patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • State licensure as required by the Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
